When I first saw Gatsby I was very impressed. I expected
Gatsby to be middle aged and very outgoing. But when I saw him I realized that
he was around 30 and very introverted. The very first day that I saw Gatsby he
was standing on his lawn with his arms reaching out toward the water. I was
very impressed with his wealth and parties. I thought he was very mysterious
which admired me quite a bit. I noticed that when Gatsby would throw his big extravagant
parties, he wouldn’t even drink at them and he liked to stay away from the
crowds. He was nothing as I expected him to be. When I first saw him at his
party I saw him sitting at a table alone. He seemed as if he was extremely lonely
due to the lack of people around him and lack of friends. I admired Gatsby even
though he does represent everything that I scorn about New York.
